Trapeze Jewellery was born in 2017.  I had been looking for some time for jewellery that was funky, different and not too costly, so I decided to make my own!  I work from my home studio in Bournemouth, where I create jewellery that is influenced by my love of the colours and textures of the cliffs, sea and beaches.

Paper bead making is also passion of mine and I sell beads and beaded gifts as well as beadable pen blanks to create your own unique beaded pens.  All my packaging is made with eco-friendly materials.

My website shows "off the peg" items which can be customised to meet individual tastes.  I’m happy to make items to order and enjoy liaising with my customers to create unique pieces of jewellery to their exact requirements.

I take my inspiration from the sea, shore, cliffs and flora and use materials sourced from natural elements of stone, shell, wood, glass and paper.  My late mother, Joyce Ringrose, was a coastal artist and I’m strongly influenced

by her vibrant paintings and use of colour.

My most treasured childhood memories come from summer holidays when our family de-camped to the beach hut on Mudeford Sandspit.  I’d spend countless hours beach combing; collecting shells, pebbles, seaweed and other gems found along the shoreline.  I would then string them together to make little mobiles and wind chimes which carried happy reminders of sunny days and adventures.

Leaving behind a 30-year career in visual merchandising, I can again spend more time walking our beautiful coastlines and beaches, taking in the everchanging light, seasons and nature's colours.
